Explore the magical marine environments of the Florida Keys of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, America’s first undersea park.
The reefs teem with colorful fish of all shapes and sizes. The Christ of the Abyss, Key Largo’s famous underwater statue, is a sight you won’t see anywhere else — and one you won’t soon forget.
A private charter might be what you’re looking for if you want to:
Keep your travel bubble intact with a fun-sized private charter that’s not too big and not too small, but just perfect your family or small group of up to 6 people.
We’ll even take underwater pictures for you to bring home.
Built for comfort, our 29′ World Cat boat has spacious seating, retractable sun shades, a working toilet and fresh water shower.
If someone doesn’t want to get wet at all, they’ll enjoy relaxing on the boat.
We always have a US Coast Guard-licensed Captain at the controls, and the Lucky Fish undergoes an annual safety from the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
A private charter means no rushing to meet a set schedule. We’ll stay on top of the weather and advise you on the best time to head out. (Spoiler alert: It’s usually — but not always! — better in the morning.)
But if you need to work around around a late-rising teenager …or a little one’s nap time, we can do that!
We can also visit the popular Christ Statue at off-peak times from the bigger tour boats.
Had enough of the reef? We can pivot and head to a peaceful mangrove river or drop onto a sandbar.
Combo snorkel/scuba trips are always an option. Keep the scuba divers your family happy by combining diving and snorkeling in the same trip
Included in every charter:
Key Largo Dry Rocks, home of our iconic underwater statue, the Christ of the Abyss. It’s easy for snorkelers to see from the surface of the water, and we can usually moor the boat very close to it. In addition to the statue and usual fish life, sometimes we see scuba divers below us when we’re snorkeling here.
Grecian Reef is relatively shallow (about 1.5-3m) and well-protected from wind and waves on most days. We might move the boat between two or three parts of this area, which has shallower sandy patches between sections of the reef and good visibility.
The Elbow is another site popular with both scuba divers and snorkelers. It’s home to two major shipwrecks which are visible to snorkelers on the surface: the City of Washington and the Hannah M. Bell.
The snorkeling is so good here in Key Largo that even our hard-core scuba divers admit that sometimes snorkeling is better!
